Traffic stop nets drugs

Joshua L. Taylor, 24, of 547 E. Columbus Ave., Apt. 15, was charged Friday with tampering with evidence, tampering with drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia after a 6:25 p.m. traffic stop in front of the apartment complex.



A cannine unit walked around the vehicle and the dog indicated the presence of drugs in the car, officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report.

A scale for weighing drugs, rolling papers, marijuana, halucinogenic mushrooms and 69 prescription pain relievers were recovered from the suspect.

He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.

The driver, Carlos S.W. Austin, 25, of 813 Heritage Court, Apt. 51, was cited for driving under suspension.
