Melissa Whitted, 45, and Michael Clemmer, 50, both of 10965 Walnut St., Lakeside, Lakeview, each was charged with domestic violence following an incident at their address Sunday evening.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to their home about 10 p.m. on a report of a domestic dispute possibly involving a knife.
When deputies arrived, they observed debris in the yard and also inside the residence and noticed that glass had been broken from a window and door.
Mr. Clemmer said Ms. Whitted had struck him with a leaf rake during their fight. Deputies did not observe any injuries to him.
Ms. Whitted reported that she arrived home that evening, and he started cursing at her and shoving her. She locked him out of the house, and he allegedly broke windows at the residence. He then reportedly used a knife to cut up a blanket and clothing items.
She had minor marks on her neck and back, and was issued a summons for domestic violence. Mr. Clemmer was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail.
