A local man’s sharp eye may have helped save a businessman’s life after a medical incident Thursday morning.
Bob Jennings of Bellefontaine was making his way through the Main Street Marketplace at about 10:30 a.m. when he saw Bill Brown of Marion Hearing Aid Center collapse on the floor of his office.
No one else was present to witness the incident, so Mr. Jennings went to the nearby United Way of Logan County office and informed director Heidi Reser, who then called 911. Paramedics with the Bellefontaine Fire Department arrived a short time later.
Mr. Brown was taken by squad to Mary Rutan Hospital and later transferred to Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, where he was listed in stable condition Friday.
“This is one time I picked the right time to walk through there,” Mr. Jennings said during a visit to the Examiner office.
