Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the fairground about 3 p.m. in reference to an assault. They spoke with Sierra Gear, 18, of Ada, and her boyfriend, Anthony Reeves, 21, of Ada, who reportedly had been in an argument with his brother, Christopher.

During the confrontation, Christopher reportedly began using profanity and threatening them. He also allegedly produced a knife, and then made threats to harm Ms. Gear.

Ms. Gear said he also had pushed her during the incident. Deputies did not observe any visible injuries to Ms. Gear.

The defendant had left the area in his vehicle, and deputies later spoke with him at the sheriff’s office. He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.

• Christopher W. Johnson, 23, of 4000 Alpine Parkway, Lot E4, Zanesfield, was charged with assault, criminal damaging, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following an incident at his residence Saturday.

Deputies responded to his address about 5 p.m. and spoke with fellow residents, his father, Robert W. Johnson, 45, and Ricky N. Keeler, 21.

They reported that Christopher had been intoxicated that day, and had become argumentative. He reportedly put his father in a headlock and caused damage to the inside of the trailer, including to a door, furnace, TV and window blinds.

Deputies also observed a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the residence.

Prior to deputies’ arrival, the defendant ran into a nearby wooded area. He was arrested once he arrived back home a short time later.
