Wind opposition group to discuss Bellefontaine

The organization Logan Hardin Neighbors United, which opposes wind turbine development, will host a public information meeting to educate local residents about the impact of wind turbines on Bellefontaine and the surrounding area beginning at 7 p.m. Monday, July 14, at the Logan County Friendly Senior Center, 934 S. Main St.

Speakers will discuss wind turbines’ impact on the cost of electricity, local tax issues, how wind projects are supported financially by federal, state and local governments, impact on property values and property rights and how wind projects divide neighbors and
neighborhoods.
