Two men, both reported heroin addicts, were charged Tuesday after officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department investigated a theft at Bellefontaine High School, 555 E. Lake Ave.
Heath M. Brisson, 33, of 425 W. Brown Ave., has been charged with felony breaking and entering; criminal trespass into a building; theft; and two counts of trespass into a motor vehicle.
Brandon Bolling, 31, of 403 Johns Ave., was charged with possession of heroin and possession of a drug abuse instrument.
Video surveillance from the school shows Mr. Brisson entering two vehicles in the parking lot and waiting in a hallway outside the boys locker room.
When the football team left the locker room, the suspect entered and reportedly went through unsecured lockers.
At this point, police were able to confirm $30 was taken from a vehicle.
The theft was discovered around noon.
Officers used the video to identify the suspect and later located him with Mr. Bolling at Speedy Mart, 511 S. Main St., who appeared under the influence of drugs.
Heroin and a hypodermic needle were found on the suspect.
Both were lodged in the Logan County Jail.
