State funds help pay for local street resurfacing
Villages wishing to resurface or otherwise rework their local streets should file their applications with the Logan County Engineer’s Office in order to qualify for funding through the Ohio Public Works Commission.
Engineer’s office officials told representatives from local villages during a meeting Monday they have until Oct. 1 to file project request forms with the engineer’s office for resurfacing or other capital improvements in 2015.
Any public street registered within a village, including alleys, qualify for OPWC project funds, Logan County Engineer Scott Coleman said.
