Police called to break-ins

BellefontainePolice patch

Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were called to Los Cabos Mexican Restaurant, 125 Dowell Ave., Monday after staff noticed someone entered a south side door and stole 15 bottles of alcohol from the bar and a metal table from the outside dining area.

The business was ransacked and there was damage throughout, including to the cash register.

• Joe Thompson Jr. of Rushsylvania reported Monday a residence he owns in the 300 block of Colton Avenue was entered over the weekend. A back door was kicked in.

It appeared the culprit searched through the house, but did not take anything.

• An alarm around 12:25 a.m. Monday at Homecoming Restaurant, 1330 N. Main St., alerted officers to a break-in. On-scene evidence, including surveillance footage, indicates two men entered an east side door of the restaurant. Nothing other than a box of candy from the front counter was reported missing.
