Keyown D. Pryor, 20, of Lima, was arrested Sunday after he allegedly attacked his girlfriend and threatened to kill her, her family and her neighbors.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were called to Amber M. Emrick’s 11068 Big Bear Path, Lakeview, residence on a report of a male screaming around 2:50 a.m.
Ms. Emrick had sought refuge at a neighbor’s residence.
She told deputies the two had been out and Mr. Pryor was drinking. They returned home separately and he became enraged while she was briefly at a neighboring residence.
He began throwing items and damaging property in the residence and struck Ms. Emrick and grabbed her.
Her brother stepped in and punched the suspect in the right eye.
The victim had fresh marks under her left arm, on the left side of her chest and on her right leg.
The suspect was heavily intoxicated, deputies report.
He was lodged in the Logan County Jail on a felony charge of domestic violence and for underage consumption of alcohol.
Editor's note: This update clarifies that Ms. Emrick stated she was not drinking during the incident.
