There exists one less vacant storefront in downtown West Liberty following the recent expansion of a nearby business.

Vivian Langan, along with her husband Brian, opened Violet’s Attic earlier this month at 121 N. Detroit St., at a location that most recently housed Tiger’s Den Pizza.

Three years ago the couple opened up Hidden Treasures at the site of the former Liberty General Store at 102 N. Detroit St.

“What attracted us to this location was the opportunity to have some workshop space in the back of the building where we can also process items and stay current with Internet sales,” Mrs. Langan said. “And we’re able to keep the front open as a showroom with items for sale.

“This way one more downtown store front is occupied, and that’s good for everybody.”
