Indian Lake school board announced Monday in a regular meeting that it plans to try again to pass a renewal levy with an increase of about $821,000.
The five-year levy would generate about $2.9 million for the district, and would be an extra $70 per year for a home valued at $100,000.
“That’s 19 cents per day,” Superintendent Pat O’Donnell said.
Formal board action on the levy is expected at next month’s meeting, but Mr. O’Donnell said upon review of all options, finance committee members are prepared to go back to voters and ask them to reconsider the levy request on Nov. 4.
