Christian C. Roll, 37, and his wife, Melissa D. Roll, 34, both of 206 N. Boggs St., DeGraff, each was charged with domestic violence following an incident at their home Sunday afternoon.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to their residence about 2:20 p.m. after receiving a call for a well-being check on the children from Mr. Roll’s mother. She had indicated that the adults at the residence had been fighting.
When deputies arrived, they spoke with Mr. Roll, and he reported that during an argument, his wife had thrown a lamp, a bottled beverage and a toaster. He said the lamp had hit his arm, causing bruising. He also had attempted to pick up the lamp and had sustained a cut on his finger.
Mrs. Roll said the pair had been arguing that day and he had been calling her names. She said she attempted to go to another room, and he had followed her. She reportedly picked up several items and threw them to the floor, but said she didn’t realize that the lamp had struck her husband.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Roll were placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail. A neighbor agreed to watch the couple’s children until a grandparent arrived at the residence.
