The Fraternal Order of Police Hi Point Lodge’s 44th annual Police Memorial Week Ceremony was Saturday at the Holland Theatre. Officials from the Bellefontaie Plice Department, Logan County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio State Highway Patrol participated. ABOVE: Bellefontaine Police Department Officer Roger Hager commands a seven-member rifle squad Saturday on Columbus Avenue where Bellefontaine Fire Department ladder trucks displayed the battalion-sized U.S. flag for the entrance of law enforcement officers and police vehicles prior to the indoor ceremony.

The wreaths on display at the theater are in memory of the three Logan County law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty: Frank J. Hossler of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 1956; Sherman Ricketts, West Liberty Police Chief, 1962; and Murray Griffin, Belle Center village marshal, 1986. (EXAMINER PHOTOS | MANDY LOEHR)
