Donald L. Bailey, 43, address at large, Lewistown, was charged with one count of felony burglary Sunday morning after he allegedly broke into a Zanesfield area residence.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 9183 Township Road 29 about 10:45 a.m. in reference to a burglary in progress.
Resident Vownetta L. Berry reported that she had returned home that morning to find a pickup parked on her property. She then observed a man walking out of her residence carrying a TV.
Deputies and troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol arrived on the scene, and located the suspect, Mr. Bailey.
Ms. Berry reported that the defendant had forced his way into her home, which had been secured.
Mr. Bailey was transported to the Logan County Jail. Deputies noted that during an inventory of the defendant’s pickup, a screwdriver, loose pills, syringe and other evidence of drug activity were observed.
