WL-S group completes Lions Park project

Members of the West Liberty-Salem’s Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America Chapter worked this week to help with clean-up and renovation projects at the Lions Park in West Liberty as a part of their Student Body Project.

As a culmination to the project, students donated funds to Lions Park to be used for the expansion of the basketball court, which included the installation of new basketball hoops.

In addition, the Student Body Project has included working with third-graders in Mike Freese’s classes to explore good nutrition, being fit, and making healthy choices by choosing a positive lifestyle.

Overall project funds were provided by an Ohio Lions grant.
