Cruiser, dump truck and wage ordinances get final reading

The village of West Liberty is due to receive its new police cruiser within 60 days after approving the purchase Monday during a regular meeting.

Council will pay about $900 per month for the next three years to pay off the new cruiser, which will cost about $31,000.

Also garnering final approval was purchase of a dump truck that council has financed for about $950 per month for five years. Council will spend about $53,000 to purchase the dump truck, which will be delivered in September.
