Three people were transported by squad and another person by MedFlight helicopter for treatment of injuries sustained in a sport utility vehicle crash about 8:20 p.m. Wednesday.
Deputies report Kaleigh L. Garrison, 19, of Russells Point, was operating the northbound SUV on Township Road 135 just north of State Route 540 when she drove off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned.
A back seat passenger, Cody L. Brown, 19, of Bellefontaine, was flown by MedFlight helicopter to Grant Medical Center in Columbus for incapacitating injuries. He reportedly was not wearing a seat belt and had been ejected from the vehicle.
Ms. Garrison, along with front seat passenger Jessie J. Rife, 19, of Bellefontaine; and back seat passenger, Ivy Garrison, 1, of Russells Point, each were transported by Tri-Valley and Bellefontaine squads to Mary Rutan Hospital. The child was restrained in a child safety seat and had sustained possible injuries, while the two teens were treated for incapacitating injuries.
Another back seat passenger, Cody S. Coil, 19, of Russells Point, reported possible injuries, but was not transported. He was not wearing his seat belt.
The crash remains under investigation.
