Successful economic development agencies are finding ways to fund operations and programs without relying solely on government money.
It’s the only way a community improvement corporation can gain momentum and develop a culture of economic growth, Gahanna’s Economic Director Andrew Jones told members of the Logan County CIC at Friday morning’s annual meeting,
“If it comes down to a choice between paying for police, fire and roads or paying for an economic director, we’re always going to lose,” he said.
Mr. Jones is an employee of the city but he also is responsible for guiding Gahanna’s CIC.
