140 Logan County absentee ballots returned


Candidates in contested races featured in Wednesday local forum

A total of 280 absentee ballots have been requested countywide thus far, and 140 have been returned ahead of the May 6 primary election, Logan County Board of Elections representatives report.

Statewide, Secretary of State Jon Husted’s office reports about 61,500 absentee ballots have been requested, and approximately 6,270 of those have been returned since early voting got under way April 1.

Registered county voters who wish to vote early may request an absentee ballot by contacting the board of elections office, 599-7255; absentee ballots are also available online, http://www.electionsonthe.net/oh/logan/index.htm.

In-person, early voting continues through Saturday, May 3. Registered voters may cast their votes early at the board office, 225 S. Main St., Bellefontaine, during regular office hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, through May 2; and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 3.
