Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report that Ms. Johnson was operating a southbound sport utility vehicle about 3:45 p.m. when a car pulled onto U.S. 68 from a driveway in the area and struck the passenger side of the SUV.

The car was operated by Ashley M. Parthemore, 26, of Rushsylvania. She did not report any injuries. Ms. Johnson reportedly sustained non-incapacitating injuries and Ms. Smith sustained incapacitating injuries.

Ms. Parthemore was cited for failure to yield from a private drive. Damage was moderate to the car and light to the SUV. All of the occupants were wearing their seat belts.
