Ridgemont Board of Education members were updated at their Thursday evening meeting on the bid process for the district’s project to build a new pre-K through 12 school building with the Ohio School Facilities Commission
Superintendent Emmy Beeson reported that the district in the midst of post-bid reviews, and that the board will select and award the finalized construction contract at a special meeting slated for 5 p.m. April 4 at the high school library.
Also moving forward with the building project, Ridgemont will host a groundbreaking celebration for the new school at 2 p.m. April 6. As long as the weather is favorable and the grounds are not too wet, the ceremony will take place at the new school site, located along State Route 273 on the western edge of Mt. Victory
However, if the ceremony needs to take place indoors, it will be moved to the elementary school gymnasium at the same date and time. The community is invited to attend and participants can wear green and gold to show their support of the school.
