SIDNEY — A Sidney teen was arrested Thursday afternoon by officers of the Sidney Police Department and the Sidney Narcotics Unit following the execution of a narcotics search warrant at 1577 E. Court St., Apt E, Sidney.
Ryan Copeland, 18, an occupant of the residence, was charged with drug trafficking, a third-degree felony, and possession of criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony. He was lodged in the Shelby County Jail.
During the search of the residence about 4:30 p.m., officers recovered heroin, approximately $1,600 in cash and a handgun.
This search warrant as well as an elevated enforcement of motor vehicle interdiction is a continuing commitment by the Sidney Police Department to aggressively combat violations of drug trafficking and drug abuse.
