Tyler Vermillion, 24, of 413 Highview Drive, was charged with inducing panic and domestic violence after he hit Brittnee Huffman, of the same address, and held a 9 mm handgun to his head around 9:25 p.m. Thursday.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report he was upset with his mother for calling police. He left the handgun behind when he fled the scene. He was later contacted by phone and convinced to return to the residence.
According to dispatch logs, the defendant was intoxicated at the time.
He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
