Holoman wins Rotary speech contest

Four Logan County high school students vied to win the Four-Way Test speech contest Monday during Bellefontaine Rotary Club’s meeting at the Friendly Senior Center.

Bellefontaine sophomore Nick Holoman was judged to have the winning speech and collected a first prize of $200.

Other participants were, Calvary Christian Schools sophomore Maddie McGillis, second place, $100; and Benjamin Logan seniors, Dalanie Barns, third, $50; and Ashley Wilson, fourth, $25.

One point separated the first- and second-place finishers, the three Rotarian judges noted.
