Ridgemont Schools Board of Education members approved at a special meeting Thursday evening a water/sewer tap fee agreement with the village of Mt. Victory.
From the beginning of the negotiations, Ridgemont Local Schools proposed that it be responsible for paying for items that directly benefited the district, including costs associated with the construction of the new school building that will be located along State Route 273 on the western edge of Mt. Victory.
Likewise, the district asked the village to pick up the items in Mt. Victory’s overall water extension project that directly benefited Mt. Victory and its residents.
According to the agreement, a water tap fee of $40,050 will be assessed to Ridgemont, and the village will use the fee to cover all school-related costs such as inspections, plan review fees, and the 150 feet of 8-inch water main to the school.
