DeGraff man caught impersonating U.S. marshal


Officers of the Jackson Center Police Department, along with the United States Marshals Service, wrapped up an investigation Tuesday with the arrest of Michael Walters, 42, of DeGraff, charging him with one count of impersonating a police officer.

Walters is accused of impersonating a deputy U.S. marshal. He was found in possession of multiple firearms, emergency lighting and other police-restricted equipment and apparel. Details of the investigation were not reported.

He was incarcerated in the Shelby County Jail.

Police are asking any potential victims to come forward with additional information.
