Logan County Board of Developmental Disabilities members discussed at their recent meeting the upcoming Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month for March, where the theme will be “Ability at Work.”
During the awareness month, the board recognizes the value of people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities in the community. The LCBDD provides lifelong services to nearly 500 individuals in Logan County with developmental disabilities.
LCBDD employees Diane Parsons, Rebecca Crisler and Rose Cantor helped to modify an Ability at Work logo that will be used during the month.
A few of the month-long activities include the annual Elected Officials breakfast at 8 a.m. Thursday, March 20. The keynote speaker will be John Martin, Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities director. Other speakers will be associate Bryan Krehn, advocate Mike Wissner, Judge Michael Brady from Logan County Family Court and Anthony Core, Logan County Commissioners president.
