Administrators extended 3-year contracts

Bellefontaine Board of Education members were treated during their Monday evening meeting to an Asian feast prepared by Bellefontaine High School students to thank them for their service.
Superintendent Beth Harman said the board dinner was previously scheduled for January during board appreciation month, but was rescheduled because of winter weather conditions.
Pupils in Marybeth Motasem’s Food 2 class prepared a number of Asian-inspired items for the catered meal, including lettuce wraps with chicken and edamame, wonton soup, fried rice with peppers and fresh pineapple, sweet and sour pork, and several desserts including homemade fortune cookies.
“We began the prep for the dinner on Friday and today during class, and then we did all of the cooking after school today,” Mrs. Motasem said of her advanced cooking class.
“We really go all out when it comes to food, experimenting with new flavors and concepts.”
