Two men and the victim have been charged in a reported stabbing early Friday morning.
Scott A. Fulmer, 18, of 214 Pratt St., Apt. 6, was charged with felonious assault and obstructing official business, while the victim, Ryan J. Parmer, 21, of 214 Pratt St., Apt. 2, and Thairon T. Stanley, 18, of 214 Pratt St., Apt. 6, each was charged with obstructing official business and obstructing justice.
The victim told officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department he was attacked in a downtown alley when they met with him at Mary Rutan Hospital around 3 a.m.
Officers could not find any evidence of an attack in the alley and confronted the victim about the story.
He admitted he lied, not wanting to get the attacker in trouble.
The incident occurred inside Mr. Stanley’s car after the trio had gone to Wal-Mart, 2281 S. Main St., to purchase alcohol.
Mr. Fulmer became enraged, yelling that people use his roommate as a taxi and don’t pay for the rides. He demanded the victim buy more alcohol and held a pocket knife to his throat.
Mr. Parmer used his left hand to pry away the knife, but was cut in the neck and hand.
Mr. Stanley took him to the hospital and also reportedly lied about the night’s events.
