More than $1,300 was raised at a recent concert as members of the Bellefontaine Kiwanis Club discussed fundraisers at their Thursday meeting.

Nancy Harmon and Dan Hess were thanked for their efforts in raising $1,300 in the club’s first fundraiser for the Kiwanis International Eliminate Project to save lives by providing maternal/neonatal tetanus shots worldwide.

Alan Hale, chairman of the upcoming pancake and sausage breakfast, reported the event will be at the Ohio Hi Point Career Center from 6 a.m. until noon March 29. Tickets can be purchased from members or at the door. Proceeds benefit a scholarship fund for college bound students from Logan County.

Club member Pat Culp said the annual Kiwanis/Rotary Golf outing will be May 22. The Kiwanis share of the 2013 event raised $3,813.75 which was donated to the Bellefontaine Police Department’s Guide Program.
