Nominations sought for Outstanding Senior Citizen Award

The Area Agency on Aging is accepting nominations for the Outstanding Senior Citizen Award.

 

One award will be presented in each of the counties served by the organization — Logan, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, Preble and Shelby.

Nomination guidelines include the following: individual must be 60 years of age or older and a resident of the county for which the award is being presented; nominee must have been a legal resident of Ohio for the past five years or longer; major emphasis should be placed on contributions to the community made by the individual after reaching age 60; service in any field of endeavor should be considered; and a husband and wife may receive the award jointly when both have been involved in service and various community endeavors. No individual or couple who has previously received the award will be eligible.
