The Logan County Libraries are partnering with the Ohio Association of Foodbanks to offer a free health insurance enrollment assistance event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the Knowlton Library.
A general information session also begins at 5 p.m. and is open to walk-ins.
This event will provide uninsured or underinsured residents with individual assistance to compare health insurance options side-by-side, learn if they qualify for tax credits or subsidies to lower the cost of insurance, and enroll in a plan.
Open enrollment began Oct. 1 and continues through March 31. Coverage began Jan. 1 for all individuals who enrolled prior to Dec. 15.
The Ohio Association of Foodbanks received a federal grant to provide outreach and assistance to consumers.
Two navigators will be assisting individuals who would like to enroll on The Marketplace. To make an appointment with a navigator, call (800) 648-1176.
