A Second Harvest Food Truck visits the village of Quincy next week and families receiving food will be permitted to wait inside the community building, Quincy Village Council members agreed recently in a regular meeting.
The mobile pantry begins handing out food at the village office, at 115 N. Miami St., at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 15. Folks waiting their turn in line may wait inside the community building because of weather, council reports.
Bobbie Allen has agreed to take use of the building, and paid a standard $50 deposit to use the facility.
Logan County Sheriff’s Deputy Doug Mitchell was present for the meeting. Deputy Mitchell patrols Miami and Pleasant townships as well as Quincy and DeGraff. The deputies patrol hours are funded by way of a grant secured by the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
