Roger Thompson, 61, of 11539 Chickasaw Path, Apt. 8, Chippewa, Lakeview, was issued a summons for theft Wednesday following a shoplifting complaint from Dollar General, 13797 State Route 235, Lakeview.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the business about 6 p.m. Store employees reported that three individuals entered the store and took two packages of steak.
Deputies reviewed video surveillance, and also received license plate information for the suspect’s vehicle, which was tracked to the Chickasaw Path address.
At the residence, deputies spoke with Mr. Thompson, and also Ronnie Norman, 23, and Kimberly Blevins, 44, all of that address. Mr. Thompson admitted to taking the steaks, and the packages were found inside the home.
Ms. Blevins admitted to serving as a look-out during the theft, and she was issued a summons for complicity to theft.
Deputies also observed an odor of burnt marijuana inside the home, and issued summonses for drug abuse to Ms. Blevins and Mr. Norman.
Winter weather crash reported
Ashley Cooney, 25, of Bellefontaine, was cited for failure to control following a rollover crash about 6:50 a.m. Wednesday.
She reportedly was operating an eastbound vehicle on U.S. Route 33 just west of County Road 10 when she lost control and drove off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned.
No injuries were reported, and the driver was wearing her seat belt.
