Defendant pleads to possession of child porn

A defendant charged with possessing child pornography pleaded guilty Jan. 24 in Logan County Common Pleas Court.

Charles Adkins, 44, of DeGraff, pleaded guilty to illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material and pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor.

He was the subject of a 14-count indictment handed up in June by a Logan County Grand Jury.

Investigation into the case began when the defendant was identified by Internet Crimes Against Children, a Cleveland-based investigative unit, as having exchanged known child pornography images via public Web sharing sites.

Two other defendants were also sentenced Jan. 24, including:

• Michelle Davis, 33, of Sidney: West Central Community Based Correctional Facility, five years’ community control, probation incentive program and ordered to pay court costs for complicity to aggravated robbery; and

• Bobby Joe Harber, 27, of McGuffey: five years’ community control and ordered to pay a $250 fine and court costs for non-support of dependents.
