Yoder seeking another term as auditor

Logan County Auditor Michael E. Yoder has announced his candidacy to run for another term.

Mr. Yoder, 53, of 4522 County Road 39, Huntsville, began his political career by serving three consecutive terms as Bellefontaine City Auditor before winning in 1994 to become county auditor.

He said during his tenure, he has worked diligently to improve and maintain the county’s technology resources and equipment.

The technology foundation made the evacuation of the Logan County Courthouse, following the major storm in June 2012, as easy as possible. Telephones and computers were moved simply by unplugging the units from one place and plugging the devices in at new locations.

He is an active member of the County Auditors’ Association of Ohio and served as its president in 2005. He currently is serving the association as the chairman of the Conference Planning Committee.

Mr. Yoder is also an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bellefontaine where he serves as assistant treasurer.
