Curtis S. Wilgus, 27, of 768 S. County Road 142, West Mansfield, was charged with domestic violence following an incident at his address early Saturday morning.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to his home about 1:50 a.m. after receiving a call from his wife, Marianne, 32, who reported she had been assaulted by her husband.
She said she and her mother-in-law had locked themselves in a bedroom. Then Mr. Wilgus went outside, so they locked him out of the house.
When deputies arrived at the home, they found the defendant in the garage hiding behind a vehicle. They noted that he was highly intoxicated and that he had vomited on the floor.
Mrs. Wilgus reported that she and her husband had been driving home that evening, and they got into an argument about him driving while he was intoxicated.
When they arrived at their home, the defendant reportedly grabbed her by the neck and threw her to the ground. She then ran to the garage, and he allegedly threw her to the ground again.
Deputies noted scrapes and contusions on her neck. He was transported to the Logan County Jail.
