Logan County Children’s Services has been given an offer to sell the property that currently houses its Western Outreach Center.
Executive director Melanie Engle told Logan County Commissioners Tuesday in a quarterly meeting that children’s services board of directors first learned of the possibility of selling the building and land at 520 Garfield Ave. last week during a regular meeting.
Mrs. Engle indicated the agency would like to work with the commissioners and Logan County Prosecutor’s Office if necessary to work out a potential deal.
Commissioners said the land may have to first be placed out for bid, or a trade arrangement would have to be worked out.
Mrs. Engle said the Western Neighborhood Outreach Center will continue, just perhaps at a new location if a deal to sell or trade the property is reached.
