The Logan County Board of Elections discussed at their Monday morning meeting the candidate filing deadline for the upcoming May primary.
All candidates should have their paperwork filed by 4 p.m. Feb. 5. The board has rescheduled their February meeting for 8:30 a.m. Feb. 10 to certify candidates for the May ballot.
Also at Monday’s meeting, members approved campaign finance reports from the November election. There also were five individuals — village council candidates and townships trustee candidates specifically — who had filed campaign finance report waivers because their campaigns generated less than $2,000. Those individuals will be required to file a semi-annual report.
The board approved budget appropriations received from the county commissioners. The 2014 appropriations are the same as last year’s appropriations.
Board of elections officials will be attending the state conference in Columbus today, Thursday and Friday, but the office will remain open on those days.
Members set their organizational meeting for 8:30 a.m. March 6.
