Wife sets husband’s sleeping bag afire

KENTON — Megan Kearns of Kenton was arrested Thursday evening after setting her husband’s sleeping bag on fire.

Kenton Police officers responded to a domestic disturbance report at her residence where a fire broke out during the dispute and was soon extinguished, officers report.

She had gotten into an argument with her husband, Charles Kearns, and banned him from their bed. Her husband put a sleeping bag on the floor of the bedroom and Mrs. Kearns allegedly then doused the sleeping bag with gasoline and set it on fire. Mr. Kearns escaped without injuries.

The police department was assisted by the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, BKP and the Kenton Fire Department.
