Parents Amanda Ricketts and Richard Legge of Bellefontaine were the first to deliver their baby girl, Jayden Elizabeth Legge, at 2:49 p.m., while Tallow Kross Biddle, infant son of Tyrah and Alan Biddle of DeGraff, entered the world at 3:41 p.m.

Jayden, 7 pounds, 3 ounces and 19.2 inches long, was expected to be a New Year’s Eve baby but was delivered via C-section after nearly 12 hours of labor, a tired but proud first-time mother said Friday.

“I’m doing OK, a little sore, but that’s to be expected,” Ms. Ricketts said.

Mary Rutan birthing staff were also tending to Mrs. Biddle, also a first-time mother, as she delivered her son healthy at 6 pounds, 15.8 ounces and 20 inches long.
