A Bellefontaine street department truck plows west Sandusky Avenue approaching Main Street today. Morning snow made for a hazardous commute. Snow is forecast to taper off, but will be replaced by plummeting temperatures and dangerous wind chills. Drifting snow will also be a concern. Logan County Sheriff Andrew J. Smith issued a Level 1 snow emergency about 7:45 a.m. today. Logan County schools were not in session today because of Christmas break. Triad Schools were to return to classes today, but canceled because of the weather.
