Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a report of a hit-skip crash that occurred about 12:15 a.m. Wednesday on County Road 63 near Township Road 256.
A southbound 1992 Toyota Camry operated by an unknown driver reportedly drove off the right side of the road on a curve and struck a ditch and a road sign and overturned. The driver left the vehicle at that location and then fled the scene.
Deputies are still investigating the crash to determine the identity of the driver.
• Glen A. Nickelson, 54, of Bellefontaine, was cited for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign following a crash Wednesday afternoon.
He reportedly was operating a southbound vehicle on County Road 55 when he stopped at the stop sign at County Road 29 about 5:45 p.m. He then proceeded into the intersection into the path of an eastbound car operated by Joel D. Wiley, 19, of Zanesfield, and the vehicles collided.
The drivers did not report any injuries. Damage was disabling to both vehicles.
