Vincent E. Henry, 31, of Springfield, was charged with possession of marijuana following a 12:30 a.m. traffic stop Tuesday.
An officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department observed the eastbound motorist speeding as he crested the Sandusky Avenue railroad overpass. A radar recorded his speed at 51 mph.
The motorist complied with the officer’s signals to stop and pulled to the side of the 100 block of north Detroit Street.
The officers detected an odor of burnt marijuana as he approached the car. A small baggie with marijuana was found in the car.
The motorist was cited for reckless operation, speed and driving under suspension. He secured the car and walked to a nearby bar.
Jennings jailed for intoxication
Robert E. Jennings, 52, of 415 Garfield Ave., Apt. C, was arrested for public intoxication around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. He became agitated and would not agree to go back to his apartment.
He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
