Two arrested after early morning stop

Jaylon D. Crochran, 21, of Urbana, was charged with operating a car under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs after a 3 a.m. traffic stop today at Comfort Inn, 260 Northview Drive.

Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department observed a car driving across a grass lot just west of the motel. After stopping the vehicle, officers detected an odor of alcohol on the motorist. Field sobriety tests indicated the driver was intoxicated and he was taken into custody.

A passenger, Cole L. Bader, 24, of Urbana, was arrested on a Logan County felony warrant. He was on probation for illegal use of supplemental benefits.

It took three officers to subdue the defendant and he was lodged in the Logan County Jail.

• Michael D. Hayman, 51, of 312 E. Columbus Ave., Apt. 4, was served Thursday with a warrant for failure to file and/or pay city income tax.

• Jaimz Derrek Colt Sells, 20, of 500 Gunntown Road, Apt. B2, was served a warrant Monday for failure to appear.

• Clint D. Belvins Jr., 31, of 408 Woodview Drive, was served a warrant Monday for failure to appear.
