POLICE: Intoxicated pedestrian arrested

Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department charged a Bellefontaine man with public intoxication after a report of a disturbance in the near north Madriver Street and east Brown Ave. at about 11:55 p.m. Monday.

After talking with two intoxicated men in the area and advising them to move along, officers observed one of the two, James Dixon, 35, of Mechanicsburg, continuing to wander about the neighborhood with no clear destination and arrested him.

Papers served

Officers served a warrant for passing bad checks to Robert D. Lawrence Jr., 37, of Kenton, on Monday afternoon.

Teen turns in coins

An 18-year-old Bellefontaine teen turned in $100 Monday evening after a machine at Hi-Point Car Wash malfunctioned, officers report.

Clayton J. Costin was reportedly put $10 into the change machine and it $100 in $1 coins. He turned the coins in to police and they called business owner Matt Robinson to collect the money.
