Driver treated at scene of crash

Amy R. Morris, 33, of Sidney, was treated by members of the Indian Lake squad for non-incapacitating injuries sustained in a crash about 2:25 a.m. Thursday on State Route 274.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report she was operating a westbound car just west of County Road 53 when her vehicle spun out of control on snow and ice and was struck from behind by a westbound sport utility vehicle operated by Kimberly Weber, 35, of Maplewood.

Ms. Weber did not report any injuries, and no one was transported from the scene. Damage was disabling to both vehicles, which were towed from the crash site.

Ms. Morris was cited for failure to control, while Ms. Weber was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.

• Donald W. Shaffer, 48, of Maplewood, did not report any injuries after his westbound pickup struck a deer about 11:10 p.m. Thursday on County Road 13 just east of Township Road 46.
