Hitmakers donation accepted for music program

Indian Lake school board members Monday during a regular meeting recognized their outgoing board president and accepted a donation on behalf of the music program.

It was the final regular meeting for board president Mark Wahl, who was not re-elected following the Nov. 5 election. He was an Indian Lake school board member for four years, functioning as vice president and then president following the retirement of his predecessor Dr. Tom Stein.

Mark Albright, elected in November, will be sworn in along with incumbent Kim Boswell when the board reorganizes at 5 p.m., Jan. 7.

“I’ve appreciated over the years, Mr. Wahl, not just your professionalism, but your friendship as well,” Superintendent Pat O’Donnell said.
