Weather-related crashes reported

A female driver and her child passenger were taken to Mary Rutan Hospital following a single-vehicle rollover crash about 10:10 a.m. on State Route 47 just west of West Mansfield.

Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol were assisted at the scene by Bokescreek Fire and EMS and Perry Township EMS. Additional information was not immediately available.

• Kacey R. Huffman, 20, of East Liberty, was cited for failure to maintain control following a one-vehicle, non-injury crash about 6:45 a.m. Saturday on State Route 287 near County Road 158 just outside Middleburg.

Troopers report the driver, who was wearing a seat belt, was traveling northbound on S.R. 287, lost control and went off the left side of the road where it struck a utility pole.

The car was towed from the scene. A separate non-injury crash occurred in approximately the same location about 5:30 a.m. Friday.

• A two-vehicle, non-injury crash occurred about 7:30 a.m. Saturday on U.S. Route 33 east of State Route 540.

Numerous slide-off accidents have been reported as snowfall overnight and early Saturday covered area roads. The forecast calls for an additional four to six inches of snow tonight.
