1 transported after crash by Honda plant

Franklin Jamison, 46, of Lima, was transported by Perry Township squad to Mary Rutan Hospital for non-incapacitating injuries sustained in a crash about 6 a.m. Thursday.

Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the two-vehicle crash at State Route 347 at the East Liberty Honda plant entrance.

Kelly Hamilton-Trippett, 19, of Richwood, reportedly was operating a southwestbound car at the intersection and attempted to make a left turn into the Honda plant. She failed to yield to a northeastbound sport utility vehicle operated by Mr. Jamison. Their vehicles collided, and his SUV went off the road and struck a fence.

Ms. Hamilton-Trippett did not report any injuries, and was cited for failure to yield the right of way. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.

• Kimberly Shepherd, 45, of Dayton, was transported by Indian Lake squad to Mary Rutan Hospital for non-incapacitating injuries following a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon.

Troopers report Garry Huston, 59, of Celina, was operating a westbound pickup on County Road 58 approaching the intersection of County Road 21 about 4:30 p.m. He failed to stop at the stop sign and struck a northbound car operated by Ms. Shepherd.

Mr. Huston did not report any injuries. He was cited for a stop sign violation. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.

• Troopers responded to a non-injury crash about 5:30 a.m. today on State Route 287 near County Road 158 just outside Middleburg. The crash resulted in downed power lines and caused temporary traffic delays. No further details were available at press time.
